Startup ecosystem building – DEEPSEA Program
Building international links between ecosystems
This is the goal of DEEPSEA, a unique laboratory for newly established ecosystem builders. Participants work as a community, exchange experience, and collaborate on joint projects for transnational ecosystems. DEEPSEA continued its story of the first global start-up ecosystem accelerator program, which they had launched in 2018. This time, it was held completely online.
Deepsea – The ecosystem builder conference
6 inspiring weeks were full of content, expert sessions, and initiative building. Participants learnt how to make an ecosystem grow, had the chance to engage with peers encountering a similar challenge, and transformed ideas into new projects.
The participants in the program
The diverse crowd was made up by startup program managers of accelerators and incubators, business development agencies, innovation scouts, and relationship managers for start-ups, non-profit organizations, and community builders.

How key2investors supported the program
We included one module of key2investor’s investor-readiness training in the program. The video lecture covered an introduction to venture capital, the investment process, how to get access to investors, and how to prepare.
During the course of the program, Petra supported the program managers on their investor profiling, discussions on program business models, as well as to shape their stakeholder engagement strategy.
It was a great pleasure to support the programs and see the initiatives’ progress. All the best for your next implementation steps.
